Gapless

Privacy policy

Effective 3 October 2026. Draft — reviewed again before public release.

Summary

This app does not require an account with us and does not upload your missions or survey data to our servers. Core project data is stored on your device. We do not run servers for the app and we do not include advertising or our own analytics. The DJI and Google Maps software the app is built on does send some data to DJI and Google automatically — see Data collected by DJI and Google.

Who we are

Gapless is developed and published by an individual developer publishing as Bunker Technology. Contact: bunkertechvn@gmail.com.

Data stored on your device

Missions, mission versions, flights, photo-coverage results and app settings are stored in the app's private storage on your phone. A text log of each take-off is also saved in the phone's Download/GaplessLogs folder, where you can open, share or delete it; it contains the positions of that flight. Photos stay where they are (on the drone's memory card or in your phone's storage); the app keeps only references to them and reads their location metadata to check coverage. You can export, back up and delete this data from the app. Uninstalling the app deletes it, unless you made a backup.

Your phone may include the app's database in your own Android backup (Google account). You can turn this off in Android settings.

Permissions

LocationShow your position on the map and check the drone's take-off point. Your location is not sent to us. The DJI SDK records flight positions — see below.

Files you chooseThe app has no general access to your photos. It reads only the photos or folder you pick with the system file picker, to check coverage, and the backup file you choose to open.

If paid features are introduced later, purchases will be handled by Google Play Billing and a subscription service that links your purchase to an anonymous app user ID — never to your name or email. This policy will be updated before that happens.

Data collected by DJI and Google

To control DJI aircraft and show maps, the app includes the DJI Mobile SDK and the Google Maps SDK for Android. These SDKs collect the following data automatically and send it to DJI and Google. We do not receive this data, and you cannot turn this collection off from inside the app.

SDKDataUsed by the provider for
DJI Mobile SDK Software and hardware: an installation identifier, the app's DJI app key, app and SDK versions, phone model, Android version and region, and the models of your aircraft, remote controller and camera.
Flight events: times, session identifiers and flight information, which can include GPS position, altitude, speed, distance, flight modes, missions and commands, take-off and landing, camera use and battery level.
SDK usage: which SDK functions the app calls and whether they succeed.
Registering the app, fly-zone safety services, and analysing and improving DJI products. See the DJI SDK terms and the DJI privacy policy.
Google Maps SDKDevice information (OS version, model, brand), the SDK version, your IP address, a pseudonymous identifier created by the SDK, crash reports from the SDK, and map interactions such as panning and zooming. Providing the map, measuring usage and improving Google services. See Maps SDK data disclosure and the Google privacy policy.

Flight logs that DJI calls warranty logs stay on your device and are not sent to DJI unless you agree.

Deleting your data

Everything the app stores is on your phone: delete missions in the app, or uninstall the app. We hold no data about you, so there is nothing for us to delete. For data collected by DJI or Google, contact them through their privacy policies above.

Children

The app is not directed at children.
